Meal on P.B.P. : 3 different diets

We can generally consider 3 different diets on long distance brevets:

1) The participants who have no assistance try to make the most of the traditional meals offered at the check points. However, in spite the organizers and helpers goodwill, these meals are often too rich in fats and are unsuitable for sports practice as they need several hours (7 to 8) to be digested! That is why they should better be eaten before rest periods.

This will be obviously detrimental to the influx of fresh blood to the muscles and will led to an accumulation of toxins, fatigue and inability to renew glycogen which can fail to cause severe slump. A full stomach necessarily limits the scope for energy intake, better off absorbing such meals that they can be followed by a rest period.
For example, here is all you will find at the Carhaix control ... everything you need before taking a little rest!
For the road, it is advisable to drink regularly, often and in small quantities of HYDRIXIR or BOISSON-4 ENDURANCE, and to bring ENERGIX and GELS ANTIOXIDANTS tubes . For the first part of the route, small parts of GATOSPORT-equilibral or CAKE ENERGETIQUE SALE will replace solid food which will reduce the consumption of unsuitable products.

2) The sporty formula incorporates sports nutrition products as well as very small meals (like: a small bowl of pasta and ham, fish and rice) and small quantities of tea or coffee and short rests. Be careful not to eat too much milk products (like porridge or rice cakes) which are extremely difficult to digest.

3) The furiously determined will automatically choose an intensive energy program which will cover all of their muscle power needs. BE CAREFUL : May you have assistance or not during the events, make sure to always have some emergency products (like 640 LIQUID MEAL) in case you lose yourself or have a mechanic problem.
