"If you havent seen Fougres, you havent lived". Our promotional slogan sums up our town perfectly. Fougres beauty is epitomised by its famous public garden, with wonderful views of the castle and the old town, surrounded by the countryside and landscape made famous by the writers Victor Hugo and Honor de Balzac.

Fougres will host Paris-Brest-Paris for the 11th time in 2019, with 6,000 participants passing through the town twice. Will they have time to admire our beautiful city, which tourists in ever greater numbers discover each year and especially in summer? Even if they dont, we hope their supporters will take the opportunity to spend a little time here.

The 200 volunteers of the Union Cycliste de Fougres, as well as local associations, friends and families, look forward to welcoming the randonneurs of Paris-Brest-Paris. In partnership Guhenno High School opens its doors to you: the gymnasium for the control zone, the canteen for catering and classrooms for the dormitories and first aid.
The municipal services of the city of Fougres will also be working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. Happily, weve all already had plenty of practice with four times the start or the finish of the Tour de France! Our town is fascinated by cycling, as underlined by our mayor.

Whether you are riding, supporting or just coming to watch, it will be a great pleasure for us to welcome you once again to our town. What a great moment for us volunteers to welcome randonneurs from around the world, whose courage, tenacity and kindness we are in awe of!

Long live Paris-Brest-Paris!
