Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, a new town built 40 years ago abelled "City of art and history"! Surprising, but the title is not usurped: the urban community received the prestigious label in 2006. And if you enjoy your stay and discover for yourself what makes Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines a territory not like the others??

With around 150,000 inhabitants, attractive area, just outside Paris, is a real economic, cultural and leisure center of the west of the capital. This dynamism, sitting on a balanced development between housing, jobs, natural areas is the result of recent history.

In just 40 years, fields and farms have given way to a balanced agglomeration served by public transport quality, fitted with a range of facilities and services for the population. With 7 communes (lancourt, The Canopy Guyancourt, Magny-les-Hamlets, Montigny-le-Bretonneux, Trappes-en-Yvelines and Voisins-le-Bretonneux), Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is now the second economic center in the west of Paris, just behind La Defense.

Ancient heritage (Commandery of Knights Templar, Abbaye de Port-Royal ...) and contemporary, are the local landscape and coexist well. Thus Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in 2006 became the first city in the second half of the twentieth century for the label City of art and history.

Heritage here is nature. More than 60% of the territory consists of waterways and green spaces. No wonder that Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is dynamic sporting! Natural areas allow the practice of many sports activities and nature.

The territory is home to appointments and most prestigious sports: the Alstom Open de France golf's Ryder Cup (in 2018), the World Championships of track cycling.

Hosting for the seventh time the Paris-Brest-Paris Randonneur, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines truly pose as a land of bike that we'd love to show you.
