On Saturday, August 22, 2026—exactly one year before the official start—a cheerful, mixed group of 10 cyclists from the Audax Club Parisien set off from Rambouillet toward the tip of Brittany. The goal was simple: to scout the proposed route by bike and meet the key organizers at the host locations along the entire 1,200 km.
In truth, our 10 scouts enjoyed eight days of camaraderie and wonderful encounters—a taste of the extraordinary atmosphere that thousands of cyclists will experience next year. Almost everywhere, under clear skies and mild temperatures (yes, really!), we met with local organizing teams, all eager to put on an unforgettable celebration for all participants. All along the route, we spontaneously met past and future volunteers who were eager and excited to connect with others, shop owners ready to stay open day and night during the event, and residents delighted to know that a legendary bike ride would soon pass right by their homes and determined to cheer them on from the roadside.
In a sneak preview, we were able to discover new scenic routes showcasing many iconic sites, and witness the unprecedented enthusiasm that the Paris-Brest-Paris race generates along its 1,200-kilometer route: that’s precisely what sets our event apart from the rest: the sense of community among the participants, as well as with the volunteers and the crowds who turn out day and night to cheer them on.
So, cyclists from all walks of life who dream of Paris-Brest-Paris, get ready, because from Rambouillet to Brest, through all of Brittany, Mayenne, and Perche, we’re waiting for you with eager anticipation and enthusiasm!
